We are thrilled to announce the re-election of Niina Ratilainen and Tine Radinja as co-Presidents of the Green Group in the Committee of the Regions (CoR), effective from February 19, 2025. Their reappointment marks the beginning of an exciting new mandate, and we are confident that their leadership will continue to drive forward our vision of a greener, fairer, and more inclusive Europe.

Niina Ratilainen, an inspiring advocate for green values, has demonstrated unwavering dedication to climate action, social justice, and youth representation. We are excited for the future under her leadership, as she teams up once again with Tine Radinja, the dynamic mayor of Škofja Loka, Slovenia. Tine brings a wealth of international experience, having worked with the World Bank, the League of Arab States, as well as a passion for youth representation as former president of the European Youth Forum. His expertise and passion for positive change are a perfect fit for leading our group.

We are also happy to announce the re-election of Eka von Kalben as co-Vice President. Eka, Vice-President of the Schleswig-Holstein State Parliament, has been a steadfast leader of the Greens in the Parliament for over a decade. Her commitment to nature preservation, equality, and social justice is invaluable, and we are thrilled to have her continue as a driving force in our leadership team.

Lastly, we warmly welcome Stephen De Ron as our new co-Vice President. Stephen, a lawyer by profession and a member of the Municipal Council of Hesperange in Luxembourg, brings a wealth of legal knowledge and a deep commitment to social cohesion and regional development. His enthusiasm and dedication to tackling the pressing issues of today make him an exciting addition to our team. Stephen has also been nominated Treasurer of the Group.
